The premise
With renovation at the forefront of many homeowners’ minds, DIY has become a popular way to make improvements while avoiding high costs.
However, the skills and knowledge required to complete certain tasks can often be out of reach for the average person. BOND identified a gap in the market, and pioneered an innovative app to provide homeowners with expert advice, on demand and at an affordable price.
The Project
I was approached to create the brand identity for BOND
BOND provides a toolkit to success – expert advice and support from those in the know. Inspired by the geometric shapes of DIY tools, hardware and fasteners, I created a brand using bold graphic shapes and strong typography, playing on the idea of a toolkit, both actual and metaphorical. The identity is clear and concise while also being friendly. The colour palette contains rich dark colours with bright accents to create the flexibility needed across applications.
TONE OF VOICE
I developed a friendly, approachable tone of voice for BOND with creative copy lines.
BOND needed to be straight-talking whilst friendly and welcoming. I created hero copy lines to bring the brand personality to life, paired with icons to highlight different service specialties.
